Earlier today I gave an introductory seminar on Adobe Photoshop Lightroom at the Nottingham and Notts Photographic Society, and thought it would be useful to provide links to some of the resources I mentioned during the tutorial. I have created a set of "cheat sheets" showing keyboard shortcuts in each of the Lightroom modules – you can download them for Mac here or Windows here. And here are some other links which may prove useful…
- Adobe has an official Photoshop Lightroom product page, user-to-user discussion forum, support page, and "Community Help System"
- Matt Kloskowski's Lightroom Killer Tips is full of useful tips and offers presets for download too
- Lightroom News - a useful site that's updated regularly. Has tutorials, podcasts, updates and links to other resources
- Lightroom Extra doesn't seem to be updated as often as some of the other sites, but has some useful downloads including Identity Plates, web gallery templates, print templates, and some other extras that may be of interest to more advanced users
- There are plenty of free presets for the Develop module on Inside Lightroom
- onOne Software also have some free Develop module presets available, along with tutorial videos showing how to use them
- If it's podcasts you're after, check out George Jardine's and Matt Kloskowski's
Most of the pages have links to more resources, so you could probably spend all day clicking around and learning loads of cool stuff. If you were at the seminar and want to ask me any more questions (or even if you weren't there and just want to ask me anyway) then feel free to drop me a line and I'll do my best to help you out.
