A quick weekend trip to visit a friend gave an opportunity to take some photos, although the weather was grim both days so there wasn’t much going on.
The highlight of the trip was Zaanse Schans, which has a number of working windmills, along with a chocolate and biscuit factory! The former were more photogenic, but it was tough with dull skies and lots of people milling around.
We stayed in Leiden, which is a lovely city. I ran one morning and saw a lot of it, but the scenic canal ring belies a bustling centre. Definitely worth a trip if you get the chance.
