Spine Safety Team 2026
Having raced in three years but only been on safety team once, I was delighted to get a place on this year’s Spine Safety Team in a bid to give something back.

I volunteered on the Spine Safety Team in 2017, being stationed at Hebden Bridge and Hawes over the few days I helped out. I learned a few things, including that I didn’t really want to do the race because it looked miserable.
Pitch Black Pennine Way
Some people would say it’s not normal to spend three weekends out of four on the Pennine Way in the early hours of the morning. I’m inclined to agree, but I ended up doing it anyway.
