It’s safe to say that a lads’ weekend is no longer the drink-fuelled two days of bad behaviour that it once was. This one started with a trip to a tramampoline<\/a> park (yes, I’m a grown adult). I thoroughly enjoyed regressing to complete childishness, although the attempted front flips were perhaps a little too much.<\/p>\n

On the ninja warrior course Gareth once again proved that he’s more athletic than me, and once all bounced-out we progressed onto a game of squash. That went surprisingly well, given that I’ve never played squash before and Jono just made the rest of us run around like crazy. Combined with the trampolining I started aching in places I didn’t know existed, though. The night was finished off with athlete’s nutrition (a visit to the chip shop) near to our accommodation<\/a> on Anglesey, and some general knowledge quizzing until the early hours.<\/p>\n

On the Sunday I nipped up to the Ogwen valley, and took an anti-clockwise lap of the Carneddau. From Glan Dena I passed under Tryfan first, which looked pretty magnificent. Indeed, the whole day turned out to be pretty good.<\/p>\n

Some of the trail-breaking across the top of Ysgolion Duon was hard work, but the visibility was great and there was no wind. Not many snowy days have coincided with days off work so far this year, but this was a great reminder of why you should seize the opportunity when they do line up.<\/p>\n
