Walking’s about all I can manage at the moment, although when a walk is this good it’s hard to complain. A short-notice collection of James from his house saw us driving through to Ogwen for a snowy traverse of the Glyderau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We followed a tried-and-tested route up the Kitchen and then across to the Miner’s Path. The snow was deep and powdery on the leeward slopes, including the steep climb up from Llyn y C\u0175n, but not deep enough to cover the rocks across the top.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After skirting Castell y Gwynt we found a protruding rock above Glyder Fach main cliff that I’d never noticed before. It’s quite conspicuous, so I don’t really know how I’d missed it, particularly since you can see it quite clearly silhouetted on the skyline when you stand in the car park by the brew shack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anyway, we wavered slightly at Bwlch Tryfan about whether should ‘nip’ up to the summit, but decided against it given that we were both already a bit knackered! So back down for a cup of tea and a pasty, and a lovely day ticked off. Thanks James!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
