Despite a train-based debacle on the way back (East Midlands Trains suck), it was a great gig. The Mad Caddies were supporting, and their set was just <span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-style: italic\">fun<\/span>! As always the Dropkick Murphys played a storming set. They&#8217;re such an energetic band that you know they&#8217;re pretty much guaranteed to be great to watch, and to shoot too. They were the first band I ever photographed (back in 2004) and I managed to continue my record of never actually seeing them without my camera.
